Why Join DONL?
Dear Nursing Colleague,
As the 2016 President of the Delaware Organization of Nurse Leaders, I would like to share information about our organization and ask your consideration in joining us in advancing nursing leadership in the State of Delaware.
DONL is an affiliate of the American Organization of Nurse Executives and its purpose is to support and develop nursing leadership addressing issues regarding nursing workforce, administration, education, research, health policy and professional practice changes.
In light of the current healthcare environment it is more apparent than ever that the profession of nursing must unite to address our practice and the collaboration required to provide quality care for our patients. From the initial and continuing education of nursing professionals to the vast continuum of practice settings, our organization is looking to develop membership and representation to promote leadership for ALL Delaware nurses.
Our state’s small size allows us a unique opportunity to provide networking and support between nursing leaders from a multitude of settings. We are inviting the input and perspective of all Delaware nurse leaders to help us develop and provide resources to enhance the voice and influence of our profession. Please consider joining us on the second Thursday of each month at the Dover Downs Festival Buffet from 8 – 10 AM for leadership education and discussion of current issues impacting nursing.
For additional information, do not hesitate to visit our website at delawareone.org or contact me at 302-744-7319 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
