Catherine Shull Fernald,
DNP, RN, RNC-OB, NEA-BC
Catherine Shull Fernald, DNP, RN, RNC-OB, NEA-BC is a senior healthcare executive with over 27 years of experience leading clinical operations, nursing, ancillary, and support services across the care continuum. Her professional roots started in direct care and quickly evolved into various leadership realms involving education, training, and administration.
She excels in safety, quality, satisfaction and fiscal outcomes in healing environments that are resource-sensitive, highly competitive and heavily regulated. In her current role as Chief Nursing Officer-Acute Care, she oversees clinical nursing practice at ChristianaCare, a 1100-bed Level ONE Trauma Center in Delaware.
Karen L. Pickard
DNP, MSN, RN, CNE
Bebe Health Care
Karen L. Pickard, DNP, MSN, RN, CNE earned her diploma in nursing from Beebe School of Nursing. She earned her Bachelors degree from Gettysburg College, and later earned her MSN from Wesley College. She is a Certified Nurse Educator through the NLN. In 2016, Karen completed a post-master’s certificate in Healthcare Administration at the University of Delaware.
Her most recent accomplishment was earning her doctoral degree (DNP) from American Sentinel University, with a focus in Executive Leadership. She has worked for Beebe Healthcare for nineteen years.
Karen is currently the Program Administrator for the Margaret H. Rollins School of Nursing (Beebe) and has been in that position for over 5 years. She is also a peer evaluator for the ACEN (Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing).
MSN, RN, CMSRN
Stephanie McClellan, MBA, MSN, RN, CMSRN, NE-BC began her nursing career at Bayhealth Medical Center in 2011 as a Medical Surgical Nurse. After working in direct patient care, Stephanie knew she wanted to be apart of creating better outcomes for patients and opening doors for care in the community. This passion and commitment helped her to transition into a formal leadership position.
Since beginning her career, she has completed her Masters in Nursing Leadership and Management and a Masters in Business Administration with a concentration in Healthcare. Stephanie is dual certified in both Medical Surgical Nursing and as a Nurse Executive. She is a member of the American Organization for Nurse Leaders, the Delaware Nurses Association and a board member for the Delaware Prostate Cancer Coalition, and sits on the Delaware Cancer Consortium Committee for Early Detection and Prevention.
MSN, MSM, RN-BC, NEA-BC
Danielle Weber, MSN, MSM, RN-BC, NEA-BC serves as vice president, Patient Care Services, at ChristianaCare since May 2018. In her capacity Danielle is responsible for the Heart and Vascular and Neurosciences service lines. She supports Behavioral Health, Rehabilitation, and Radiology clinical nursing.
Danielle received a bachelor’s degree in nursing from Neumann University and a dual master’s degree in nursing leadership and healthcare administration from Wilmington University. She is board certified in medical-surgical nursing and as a nurse executive, advanced through the American Nurses Credentialing Center.
