Constance Przybylek

Constance Przybylek MSN, RN-BC, NEA-BC is the Director of Perioperative Services at ChristianaCare, where she has been employed for 39 years. Her responsibilities include management of the support services in perioperative services including clinical informatic nurses, anesthesia technicians, physician assistants and nurse practitioners. Constance lead the project to implement computerized documentation and supports computer systems in perioperative services.
Connie received her bachelor’s degree in nursing from Wilmington University and her master degree in nursing administration from University of Delaware. She is certified in nursing informatics and nursing administration, advanced though the American Nurses Credentialing Center.

Jennifer Painter

Jennifer has been serving in the role as Associate Chief Learning Officer & Vice President, Nursing Professional Development & Education for the last 1 ½ years. She has been a nurse for 22 years with 19 years’ experience at ChristianaCare. Jennifer initially worked as a staff nurse as both an LPN and then an RN on 6C Hematology/Oncology from 2002-2007. She then worked in Cancer Research from 2007-2012. Jennifer completed her BSN and MSN degrees from the University of Delaware in 2003 and 2006 respectively and her DNP degree from Wilmington University in 2018. She received the Audrey K. Doberstein leadership award upon graduation. In 2019, she completed the GE Health Management Academy CNO Fellow Program.
Jennifer has presented locally, nationally, and internationally related to her work within Nursing Professional Development. She is certified in Nursing Professional Development, Nurse Executive-Advanced, Oncology Certified Nurse, and Advanced Oncology Clinical Nurse Specialist. She is also certified as a Juran Lean Six Sigma Black Belt.
Jennifer was a finalist for the 2015 Excellence in Nursing Practice award for the State of Delaware in the Educator category as well as a finalist for the Delaware Today Top Nurse award in 2016. Jennifer was named as a Delaware Business Times Top 40 Under 40 business professional in 2019. Jennifer was named a 2021 Top 5 Emerging Training Leader by Training magazine.

Karen L. Pickard

Beebe Healthcare

Karen L. Pickard, DNP, MSN, RN, CNE earned her diploma in nursing from Beebe School of Nursing. She earned her Bachelors degree from Gettysburg College, and later earned her MSN from Wesley College. She is a Certified Nurse Educator through the NLN. In 2016, Karen completed a post-master’s certificate in Healthcare Administration at the University of Delaware.
Her most recent accomplishment was earning her doctoral degree (DNP) from American Sentinel University, with a focus in Executive Leadership. She has worked for Beebe Healthcare for nineteen years.
Karen is currently the Program Administrator for the Margaret H. Rollins School of Nursing (Beebe) and has been in that position for over 5 years. She is also a peer evaluator for the ACEN (Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing).

Laura Smith

Beebe Healthcare
Laura has worked for Beebe Healthcare for over 20 years. She started as a CNA while attending Beebe School of Nursing to obtain her RN license. Her clinical expertise is in medical-surgical nursing, pediatrics, and oncology. From 2005-2014 Laura was a faculty member at Beebe, now known as the Margaret H. Rollins School of Nursing. During her tenure she became certified through the NLN as a CNE (certified nurse educator).
In 2014 she took her nursing education expertise back into the acute care setting when she took on a new role as a System Level Educator for Beebe’s Clinical Professional Development Department. In this role, Laura is the primary nurse planner for the ANCC Accredited Contact Hour Provider Program at Beebe, the Coordinator for all student clinical and observational experiences, and the nurse extern and graduate nurse residency program coordinator, all while assisting in the School of Nursing’s simulation lab and in unit-based education. Laura recently completed her DNP in Educational Leadership from American Sentinel University.
She is actively engaged in numerous committees both locally and regionally. In her spare time, she enjoys volunteering with various Foundations, such as the United Brachial Plexus Network and the Lupus Foundation. She can also be frequently found on the softball fields with her daughter.

Treasurer:
Courtney Crannell
DNP, MSN, OCN, NE-BC

Courtney Crannell has been a nurse since 2004, working exclusively in oncology her entire career. Having first earned a bachelor’s degree in nutritional science, she returned to earn her bachelor’s degree in nursing from University of Delaware. Working on an inpatient oncology unit, Courtney learned her true passion for oncology nursing and caring for this population. She returned to school to receive her Master’s degree in nursing in 2010 followed by her Doctorate in Nursing Practice in 2019, both from Wilmington University.
She currently manages the inpatient oncology unit and stem cell transplant unit at Christiana Care. Courtney also is adjunct instructor at Wilmington University. She also just finished a tenure as treasurer of the Delaware Diamond Chapter of the Oncology Nursing Society and is current secretary of the same organization. She has presented posters as well as podium presentations at the Oncology Nursing Society annual congress. Courtney is married with 2 sons, ages 10 and 15. When not working, she is an avid reader and traveler to her favorite town of Williamsburg, Virginia.
